In my business and personal life, I've developed a set of four rules that I like to live by. Those four rules have helped me in my personal life and business activities. I'd like to share those with you today.

The first one is about who you know. We are a socialistic society that wants to help each other, people helping people. That's how it all works here. Knowing someone who can help you on demand is a great assistance.

Rule #2 is what you know. When rule number one gets you an opportunity, rule number two allows you to deliver on that opportunity. Having those two together makes a powerful personal and business life capability.

Rule #3 is what you know and how fast you learn. The world changes all the time, especially in Silicon Valley; our CAD systems change, so we have to keep updating them to new versions. The ability to make parts in ways that weren't possible before comes to mind. Learning consistently and constantly is rule number three.

Rule #4 is never burn a bridge. Since we're so socially interactive, creating challenges with a relationship today can often come back to bite you in the future. So always keep a consistent, respectful, professional relationship with everyone you meet.

With these four rules, I manage my business and personal life in a way that is far more fulfilling for those around me and for myself. I hope they're helpful.
